About FitTheLoad

FitTheLoad was created to solve a simple problem: figuring out whether something will actually fit in your vehicle before you travel to collect it.

People buy furniture, TVs, appliances and second-hand items every day and frequently rely on rough guesses or cargo-volume figures that don't answer the real question. A car can list 1,500 litres of cargo volume and still have a boot opening too narrow for a particular box — volume tells you how much air is inside the car, not the shape of the opening your item has to pass through.

FitTheLoad combines available vehicle measurements with your object's dimensions to provide a practical fit estimate — testing every orientation, checking the boot opening separately from the cargo space, and being upfront about what we don't know rather than guessing.

This is a young, independently run project. It's built and maintained by Mikel Cuesta. We don't claim a large team, a long history, or a finished vehicle database — see which vehicles we currently cover and their sources.
